Karndean Flooring is a brand of floor covering that has been manufactured in the UK since 1962 and is now owned by the Dutch company, Tarkett. The name Karndean comes from the first two letters of each word in the company’s name, which are also the initials of its founder, John Dankworth. The company was founded as an importer of Italian floor coverings to the UK market but quickly moved into manufacturing their own products.
